ABOUT ME
I discovered the importance of quality work when I purchased my 1st home at a young age. During the process I decided
not to get a home inspection - I didn't want to spend the extra money because I couldn't see the value in it. I walked through the house several times and everything "looked" fine. Besides, after years of helping my father in his handyman business, I would know if there were any issues, right?! WRONG! really, wrong!
I quickly learned the definition of home maintenance and the costs when a home is not properly maintained. There were issues that could have been avoided if I had only understood the value of a home inspection. Spending a few hundred dollars would have saved me from spending the thousands I eventually did. Not to mention, I could've negotiated a much better purchasing price!
The Lesson led me into another aspect of real estate transactions. I started a career in the residential construction industry that led to superintendent and quality control positions with some of the top-rated builders in the state. It was there that I learned what to look for to prevent our clients from suffering the costly mistakes that can accompany an uninspected property.
